The Illusion Of Who We Think We Are
This is my name, this is my date of birth, this is my social security number, this is my nationality, and this is my race.
I am a daughter, a son, a sister, a brother, a wife, a husband, a mother, a father.
I am a student, an employee, an employer. I am retired.
I am a resident of this or that township, a citizen of this or that country, a member of this group, and a member of that group.
I earn this amount of money, I own this and I own that, I pay taxes and I will die.
THIS IS MY IDENTITY.
What if you were stripped of who and what you thought you are? What if all of the forms and structures that define you were eliminated? Then who would you be? If this happened to each and every one of us then who would we be?
